Over 48hours now since the cup defeat to Man City and even though I am really proud of how we performed you just cannot feel a little bit gutted and the what ifs come to mind. Why did Toure have to score a worldy against us? Why didn't Borini get his shot off after 38minutes before Kompany made that fantastic latch ditch tackle? Why didn't Fletcher knock it back across goal when it dropped to him in the 88th minute? All those sort of things.

On to Sunday now and the quarter final of the FA Cup against our mate Steve Bruce and his Hull side down at the KC Stadium and there is no reason at all why we cannot go there and win.

After Sunday when the team bus was leaving I am sure the lads and the manager will of looked at Wembley stadium and thought, "we want more of this, but next time to put things right" and on Sunday along with the motivation of getting back to Wembley we also owe Hull a beating after the two league games this season!

The league is absolutely huge but not until after Sunday.

I am predicting a 3-1 win, I would also go with...

    Ustari
    Bardsley - O'Shea - Brown - Alonso
    Cattermole - Ki
    Johnson - Giaccherini - Borini
    Scocco

Ustari seems to be the FA Cup keeper, Scocco needs games and I would give Giaccherini a start

Winning games breeds confidence, and I'm sure that we can beat Hull on Saturday and then turn our attention to Premiership survival. We will be a few points away from safety this weekend due to playing yet another cup-tie,but we will survive!!Our squad is good enough to cope with a few changes!!

    Ustari
    Bardo-JOS-Brown-Alonso
    Ki-Catts
    Johnson-Scocco-Giacc
    Borini

That'd be my team, if it works I'd play it again against palace (with the exception of Mannone, of course)

This. Compared to the op, dont think Scocco is an out and out forward and Borini proved he can do it Sunday. Is Bridcutt cup tied for F.A too? If not I think we might see him instead of Catts.

Just checked their team for the 3rd and 4th round and Bridcutt did not feature so he will be available for Sunday - I think he will play instead of Catts. Otherwise, I can see Hull targetting Catts in an attempt to get him to lose his rag and get himself sent off.

I don't see Gus making too many changes from Sunday. Can't see why he would.

He's deffo not cup tied but I'd still play Cats, 1 game in 4 weeks isn't enough for Catts, for most of our strongest players infact. I don't want players lacking match time going into the palace game. Plenty of time to use the squad as we hit our next run of congestion.

Scocco could be crucial for us in the run in.and he needs game time more than anyone so if I could only make one change from.final hed be in there.

How about the man who got us to the Quarter finals? Craig Gardner......?

I wish he could pass, he'd be a cracking midfielder then. Can't see beyond the clash between our philosophy and his ability. :(

I'd play a similar team to the last game but maybe give Giaccherini a start. Also would consider bringing Altidore on from the bench, hopefully he'll have a point to prove after being left out of the cup final team.
