I'm still gathering my thoughts, but that performance was woeful.
No pace, no invention, no tactical plan....nothing.
The captaincy thing irks me. Gill wasn't fit, and Virgo not selected; so Anthony made captain. You would never have guessed it. Campbell was aching to get involved, but he was actually shooed away from set pieces by the carthorse Stanley.
What happened with Timar...we could have used him today.
The performance was not acceptable. The pitch was fine, the fans were behind the team to start with......the BUCK stops with BUCKle.

How the **** can we get an away result at the then league leaders and one week later be a total pile of crap at home. I wish I`d made the most of the good weather and stayed at home to cut the ****ing grass and even wash the car, in fact I would have had a better day if I`d taken Mrs YOBG shopping ffs<grr>

I know it`s still early days but I`d take a mid table finish right now.

    Totally pissed off tbh

Well that was my first game of the season. Currently unemployed so I was really looking forward to it so to have to witness that crap (sorry there's no other word for it) was quite frankly sickening. I was in the Blackthorn End and was talking to someone who went up last week to Morecambe and he said he couldn't believe it was the same side. I know I've said in other threads that we should look at where we are after 20 to 25 games but there needs to be a rocket up some players backsides as they weren't at the races today. If you can't get up for a local derby then what sort of message is that sending out to those who've turned up and paid good money through the turnstiles to support the team.

Of the match itself I thought that the first 20 - 22 minutes or so we dominated Cheltenham and then they got that break away goal. From then on we played as if none of the players had never met before. I don't think that the keeper had a chance with any of the 3 goals so there has to be severe questions asked of the defenders. Also, at times when trying to play the ball out of defence the midfielders and strikers were so static I thought someone from the club had broken into Burtons and nicked a load of mannequins.

I still think Buckle's the answer. It does take time and there is talent in the squad and if we can recapture the form that saw us beat Morecambe then we will be up there come the end of the season.

Echo the thoughts above. We're so bloody inconsistent; today's display was awful.

Buckle really does need to sort out the defence and give Campbell back the armband. I know that it's a new team and they'll take time to gel etc etc, but on paper we've got a strong squad and should not be putting on displays like that, especially at home. I still think that we'll be there or thereabouts come next May, but at the moment it's still the typical inconsistent hot/cold fare that we long-suffering fans have been putting up with for the last four years.

It was hot - how do teams in Spain, Italy play ... hold the ball, pass it around, work the opposition then BANG - quick one twos and and try and work an opening. Is there really any players in the Rovers side who have intelligence? At one stage early on we had the ball at the back, we passed it around about 5 times, no pressure then WHOOOOSH to Zebedee, who has about as much control as a 16 year old virgin in a brothel! Lost possesion! In the second half we had it out wide on our left so Matty H pulled away and was promtly followed by 2 more blue ****s = no spce to run into - where was the player going short to make the space? I only played at the lowest level, and managed a Sunday pub team, but some of the mistakes we are making would make me want to b*llo*k my players! Where were the neat 1 - 2's? Most of Chelts was whoosh - not very good, but as we pressed forward they did play some good neat first time footy - something I aint seen from the gas ALL season! FFS sort it out!
