Yeah, sad but true. Arsenal career all but over. He can still come back though, just not good enough for us.

Sadly, I don't think his Arsenal career is over, because who will sign him? Nobody will sign a player out injured, and I don't think Arsenal are going to be ****y and release a player who's out with a bad injury. Sadly, this guy is still going to get his weekly salary, while we also pay the costs of his rehabilitation.

Who do you honestly think we could get rid of him to ?.He's not going to be fit until next year and apparently his contract is up in 2014 anyway.

You will more than likely find he is insured and the insurance company will be paying his wages

you gotta feel for the guy as he just cant get a run of games or a break from injuries, like Owen Hargreaves.

You have to feel sorry for the guy. It's a real shame, because he did have a lot of potential.

As a spurs fan I can see there is a big difference between talented injury hit players like Jenas and players who waste their talents like Bentley...I suspect most gooners would have sympathy for Diaby rather than hope he is dumped...just my opinion of course

He possesses undoubtable talent as displayed in his performance against Liverpool at Anfield this season but he can no longer be considered a member of our squad. It was criminal to persist with him for so long at the expense of another squad number in the first place and he should be replaced in a timely fashion in the summer. We badly need a midfielder with his physical presence. Bring in Capoue and consign Diaby's Arsenal career to the scrapheap of history.

And another thing. The main reason so many of us are calling for him to be 'dumped' as you put it remembercolinlee is because we don't want Wenger to gamble another season away on the deluded belief that a player coming back from injury can be relied upon.

Theres only so much you can take of a player having injury after injury after injury after injury and enough is enough. He should retire and take the millions we've paid him over the years and go. In the days when footballers earned about the same in their careers as other people would in their normal job over a longer period there was sympathy, but these overpaid multi-millionaire sick notes will never have to worry about money so I think we can quite easily say time to get rid of him if he wont go under his own steam.

Gutted for him to be honest. He had the raw talent to become the next Vieira type of player, but ever since that ****ing sunday league player Dan Smith smashed his ankle, he's never returned to full fitness. I think this ACL injury is probably the end of his Arsenal career and that's a real shame for us and for him.

I don't share the sentiments of 'get rid' either, the bloke has given his time for Arsenal and worked hard to try and get fit and through no fault of his own he's had setback after setback. I think he deserves a bit more respect from some quarters, but that's modern football I suppose.
