ABERDEEN are set to name Derek McInnes as their new manager.

The moves comes just a day after Ross County rejected their approach to speak with Derek Adams.

The former St Johnstone boss has been out of work since being sacked by Bristol City in mid-January.

Earlier this month, current Dons gaffer Craig Brown announced his intention to retire from management at the end of the season but also insisted that he would step down now if Aberdeen could appoint the right man.

I know some on here don't like the bloke, I always did and I wish him nothing but a good future, good luck Del....

I still like him, I didn't like the football he was producing and where he has put us, But I don't hold any hatred towards him. Wish him all the best at Aberdeen <ok>

You can't hate someone who tried their best. Poor sod was out of his depth.

However I do feel bitter towards the board who dithered to long.
I don't care much either for some of the clueless fans who backed McInnes to the end.
