Abel 7 goals. Charlie Austin 7 goals Jordan Rhodes 7 goals Andre Gray 6 goals Nice to see a city striker up there on the top scorers chart. It's been a while since we had one. I know Chris Martin and Nick Blackman have a couple more between them. But he's right up there with them. Long may it last.
I wonder if he's enjoying himself now he's settled in and is enjoying being in a probable promotion team with regular games?
Or play like a one legged cart horse and someone's bound to come in for you. Where does it say he's going anywhere in January ? He might just want to stop with a club who look more like Championship Title contenders every week. Strange as that might seem to some.
Just pleased Hernandez has come good and is scoring goals now , he is very sharp in the box and usually gets a shot on target Is Livermore playing to go in January as well ? He was superb today
The majority are playing for a move in January, those that aren't want to be in the PL too .......... it's the nature of the beast, and rightly so. We don't want a team full of ****s who are just happy to play in the Championship.
Abel was happy to stay with Palermo for their full season in the second tier and help them get promoted back to Serie A, I don't see any reason why he shouldn't want to help us back to the PL. I'm confident that he'll stay unless we receive an absolutely ridiculous offer of Man City money standards.
Good player Hernandez. Getting more involved with each game. Still don't think we've seen half of what the big jessy's capable of. Some great bits of skill bursting through their ****s today.
Great attitude from Hernandez this season. Even if his goals return leads to a January transfer, we gave Diamande waiting in the wings. As for Livermore, I reckon he will feel he owes us for sticking by him through his recent troubles.
I don't think so, as much as I think Abel has real qualities about him, and despite popping up consistently with some real poachers goals, I don't think he's hd enough impact on the pitch for anyone who could afford him to justify it. But he's playing better every game and could be **** hot by January. TWT
Never saw it, but I would think most of them will stay if Bruce can keep some form of consistency in selection - to be fair he probably needs another 11 games to confirm his tactics are right and then Phelan can earn his coin and tell him he's the dog's bollocks. Hernandez is enjoying his game and working very hard from what I have seen.
Obviously he wanted to go, and probably still does, but playing for a move is a lot better than what he was doing before. I think as well as the above, fitness must play a part. He looked so sluggish last season. I still don't think he's very quick at all, but he's not arriving just after the ball literally every time like he was last season.
Really hitting the ground this season. I said towards the end of last season that if we went down my biggest regret would be not seeing Hernandez with us for a second season, as I was convinced he'd step it up after settling in properly. So glad he's still here and firing them in. If someone is willing to pay 10m for him in January then we might sell, but as it stands he's probably our best bet of getting straight back up so doubt the Allams would be keen to sell.
He does genuinely look happier in himself on the pitch and Bruce indicated that he'd adjusted to the weather, food and language. So there's a lot to adapt too other than just football. As with most of our players, a move in January is only of benefit if they are moving to a team that isn't under the threat of relegation (So no moves to Norwich, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Sunderland, Villa or Chelsea ) especially if we are looking like promotion candidates ourselves.
why would he want to go if we actually obtain promotion? and w wouldn't wish to sell him for anything shy of 10 knocker
Great to see us have a striker who is consistently scoring goals. It is good to see him much happier and I guess that comes from knowing he has an integral part to play in the team. Also good to see him actively among the goal celebrations. Agree with GLP that a strong position in the new year could help keep him here. The worry would be if a side like Stoke, West Ham or Palace come in for him though I can't see why they would need him.
