I know he's probably not going to feature for us again when his loans up but this story about Sordell made me think maybe Mclean has similar issues with all the nonsense he puts on his social media including Twitter. Maybe clubs should show more responsibility with their players and limit the use of Twitter and other social networking sites. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4731669/Bolton-ace-Marvin-Sordell-addicted-to-Twitter.html
At least Bolton or their manager have stepped up and realised there is an issue, maybe Sordell is actually lucky in a way that he can get help unlike most employees/ordinary people like you say. These sites are not a replacement for normal human interaction which is why when you see Mclean going on about his 'twerps' and other random stuff it makes you think a bit.
I use twitter as a marketing tool and sometimes for social purposes. Mostly i use it as a fast newsfeed. However, 90% of what's on there is total bllx and makes it appear that it's mainly for people who jist can't shut the **** up, even when they are alone.
He blocked me from Twitter. I responsonded to tweet my friend had tweeted with him in it, saying we'd win promotion with McLean and Simpson as our starting front two. I said we'd have no chance if McLean was one of our starting forwards. He blocked me for that.
Slightly OT but you need to be thick skinned to be a footballer. I dont think I would handle the moans and groans at the KC very well if they were directed at me. Good job I'm a crap footballer
He's a 29 years old bloke so for me the amount of random stuff he puts on that site would be a bit worrying really if i was a manager. I think for the younger lads its fine but for an established older pro? Also the way he responded to you too, its all a bit childish, someone his age a veteran striker shouldn't even be having to be in a position to respond to it. If you're a journo or using the site for marketing fair enough but he should be focussing on his career. Maybe thats one of the reasons he hasn't looked the part for us, lack of focus.
I don't think he's thinking of what to tweet when he's playing, do you? People forget footballer's have lives too sometimes, I doubt it has any effect on his performance whatsoever.
I'm not so sure Tony Warners Face, maybe just as he is about to shoot some random tweet about a TOWIE non-entity flashes into his mind and results in a shocking finish. Seriously though I think the amount of time he is on that site prattling about a load of bollocks at his age is a bit much. I did see he flagged a few charities so thats a good thing but the rest of it is open to debate i reckon.
Personally I don't think it's any different to us talking a load of bollocks on here. Maybe it's just a generation thing.
It wasn't if I was racist, abusive or rude. Just opinion. I'm sure he's had wrote in the paper about him.
Mclean's taking a bit of a bettering on Twitter today, as he tweeted earlier that Ipswich town centre was **** and had no decent shops. Great way to endear yourselves to the locals. He seems to be handling it quite well though... Aaron Mclean ‏@A9Mac @FennersITFC @amberr_hales Pipe da fu*k down u lil gimp!!!
Maybe somebody could send him a link to this thread, people who are compulsive like that don't realise sometimes till its pointed out to them. He ought to save his chitchat and banter for his family and mates rather than randoms on the internet.
He's not the only one getting a bit hacked off with Twitter today... Frankie Boyle ‏@frankieboyle Some days I wish Twitter was a person just so I could kick it right off the roof of a ****ing multistorey car park.
