He'd be a great signing, thought he looked pretty good when he came on at the weekend. Needs to not get injured as much but when he's on song he's a cracking player. If he wasn't £7m, I'd go for it, but that price tag seems a little too much for some reason.

Wouldn't that mean a 442 and at that price it will be 442 whoever the opposition
Don't think its our weakest position either

Lennon made a big difference to Spurs when he came on. Quality player for sure.

Lennon's got pace but has always lacked a quality final ball/cross. Don't know where he fits in either unless we say goodbye to Elmo; you wouldn't have Elmo in the side ahead of Rosie UNLESS you use him to supply crosses as Rosie is the better defender.

He'd be another one that just don't fit. So its possible.

Bloody hell, I'd forgotten he was a Leeds lad!

He was the perfect player to bring on with an extra man on Sunday, as he always finds space with his pace off the mark.

Good player, but are we just signing players for the sake of it. Where does he fit in?

Hopefully we're signing players with enough technical ability, confidence and experience to keep the ball and not just panic and boot it skyward if (say) we have a player sent off.

Also (on a bit of a tangent) - Will McGregor ever pass or throw a ball to our defenders? It seems his distribution skills come down to one thing - The Big Hoof! Possession often starts from the back, but he continually gives it away.

There's no way Bruce would drop Elmo and play Rosie at right back in a league game, if Lennon comes in I'm sure we'd see Elmo right back and Lennon right wing as our first choice.

I'd hazard a guess that McGregor kicking upfield instead of throwing passing to a defender is a managerial/coaching choice, if it wasn't ? We'd be hearing the dulcet Geordie tones of Mr B bellowing ''Hey Mac, stop hoofing the effing ball upfield and roll it to a defender'' ........ or something along those lines. Recall the 4-0 drubbing at Southampton, they pressed that high up the pitch our defenders couldn't find an easy ball at any price, we were a shambles due to Pochinetto's pressing tactic - come the return game we ignored the short ball to a defender and hoofed it to half-way line, still lost mind you ...... the same tactic for the Tottenham game would have worked had we taken our first half chances.

I suspect that where we are come Jan 2nd will have a big bearing on the January transfer window.

But you can never have enough quality in the PL no matter what club you are.

Lennon can also play wide left.
