Well, pre-season reports were that he and the Club were in negotiation but then nothing .. until mid August when his agent said that a deal was a way off - http://www.tv2.no/sport/fotball/landslag/hangeland-ikke-i-naerheten-av-aa-forlenge-med-fulham-3852775.html No idea whether the issue was wages, length of contract or both. What I think significant was Brede's comment that he would decide sometime during this year. Totally a personal opinion, but I think he wants to wind down his career before heading back home and that he was looking for 3 years whereas the Club are sticking to their policy of not offering those terms to over 30s. So he could well see this year out and as he said "wait and see".
