Clearly the best time to do it is just as thousands of extra people are trying to use the road. Obviously during the week isn't best but surely when city are playing away would be more sensible.
Yeah I posted something similar earlier in the week. Roadworks will still be in place when we travel away for the Brighton game too. Also as a reminder, Walton Street car park is shut for City's home game this weekend against Cardiff.
I wish I looked into this more and checked a map to work out a better route. The diversion was absolutely stupid. The traffic was free flowing yet it added over 30 minutes and about 15 miles to my journey home. I'm sure there are better ways of resurfacing a road than just closing it and sending everyone on a stupidly long diversion.
