Just read that Matty Whichelow couldn't get a game at Exeter and that is why he has returned early from his loan spell in the very West Country, here is the article: http://www.newsnow.net/A/531473397?-276
i think it's just an article quoting what was said about his return on Tuesday night... (what was said at the fans forum about his return lol)
I see that another one is getting game time. http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2511789,00.html Surely this is why we send them out, to get roughed up a bit and to play for three points.
good news for Chez...of all the kids that went pro this season, he seemed to be the weakest..hopefully Borehamwood will bring him on a bit. Agree Kev, it looks that way to me too...
Oh i hadn't considered that M Frenchie, you could be right there...he did seem to say he expected to just 'hit the ground running'..i do hate that phrase btw lol
Would love to know how a lad that scored a great goal against derby plus a few other promising performances in the championship cant get a game for a side bottom of L1!! and if he couldnt get a game or wasnt good enough , why send him there? If he is that bad then send him to Bwood with chez as thats really going to help him come on and play pro football ! Honestly our youth policy at the moment is going backwards ! Some of them must be wondering whats happening and that would be natural! Take Britt for example , last season I saw him as a promising prospect and that this season he would kick on and force himself into the reckoning, as far as I can tell spends his days playing computer games ! if his twitter is to be believed! I believe when some of these guys go for a song somewhere else we will regret it, bit like Theo Robinson now! seems he has learnt to make an end product on the end of his pace! I know he was sold when we didnt have 2 coppers to rub together, but I do foresee a lot of similar scenarios happening sooner rather than later!
Sounds like Lionel Ainsworth you're talking about there, and look at him now! As for Theo - I think you'll find, if you ask around his previous clubs, that there was quite an 'attitude problem' there which didn't go down too well in the dressing room - and if MW has developed the same he may find his future lies elsewhere. Hope not, though. As for Theo having learnt to score - inevitable I guess, given his talent - but I for one wouldn't have him back, just as I wouldn't welcome back Marlon King or David Connolly et al - and they're scoring for fun at the moment.
usually I would agree with you BB , at the mo especially with some of the hoofball we play , I would consider MK ! desparate time req desperate measures etc, especially if we are going for more off field shenannigans as well!
I have trusted SD from the beginning with regard to the youth...after Tuesday i trust him even more. I'm sure he's put the kids in the picture, and explained to them what he's doing. I doubt very much that they are out of the loop on that. Leave it to the professionals Norway, it's where SD's experience is, he does know what he's doing.
Management is the same in most things and most trades , looking after your staff , and getting the best performance from them and managing your resources to best help your staff achieve their targets! Motivating them to get the best from them ! In this H I still feel our newbie gaffer aint learning fast enough! I know and understand he has a hell of a lot to contend with, and I admire his courage in taking on what is ,lets face it , a hiding to nothing! I want him to succeed desparately , but IMO there are areas he could be doing better to improve his "productivity".
The other things I forgot to mention was innovative leadership and willingness to learn new ideas and new concepts!
