Even better that we stopped the evil that is Sheffield Utd getting to the final . One of my best days supporting City .

It always freaks me out a bit to see Tom running with the ball towards the edge of the opposition box......

Just wish he had been doing the same again this season. It proves he can do it if he wants to.

He's maybe playing to orders? The fact that he can't get back quick enough? But I do think he's more affective further up field!

I would agree with you. He spends far to much time on or around the edge of our penalty area. Instead he should be on or around the edge of the opposition's penalty area imo.
His passing range would then, again in my opinion, be far more effective.

And he has such a good touch that he can pull defenders into rash tackles? Instead of him doing the same outside his own box!

Strangely enough I was thinking precisely the same yesterday. He's been almost entirely ineffective this season in the deep quaterback role, would he be more suited to a role sitting behind either 1 or 2 strikers as a classic trequartista? It would be the exact opposite move of what changed Andrea Pirlo's career where he was an average attacking midfield playmaker sitting behind the strikers until Ancelotti turned him into probably the best deep lying midfield quarterback in the business.
