    This is from the OWS(via Obi on CI)...

    "Football fans often rightly get criticized. However I would like to put on record my thanks to all the Hull City fans who last night helped my 90 year old mum after she tripped on a dodgy bumpy kerb and broke her right shoulder outside the KC stadium. She had to wait 30 minutes for an ambulance but they all took their coats off and helped me keep mum warm in the freezing cold.

    They knew we were Watford fans and our team had beaten theirs 1 nil. The St.Johns Ambulance guy was brilliant and probably saved my mum's life with adrenaline oxygen and motivating words until the ambulance turned up.

    I am glad to say that after spending a total of 8 hours in Hull and Cambridge Addenbrooks A+Es my mum seems to be on the mend but will need to have her right arm in a sling for several weeks.

    All the Hull fans I talked to were friendly as were all the helpful support staff in the Stadium. You are all a credit to your club and I hope Hull and Watford both go up this season."

    Nice to hear, I hope the Fail follow up on this one. Anyone on here help out?

    The Fail isn't interested in positive, good news stories involving City fans unless there is a bandwagon for them to jump on.

    Nice story, and amazing that a 90 year old traveled all that way up to Hull to see a football game. Hope she makes a speedy recovery too.

    Nice story. Hope the elderly lady is doing fine. 90 years old and still going to football, fair play, she must be made of stern stuff.

    These lads are a credit to the city and the club.

    Hope the Wessie Police have seen this.

    Good luck to Watford and all (hopefully in the playoffs :))

    Are you sure it was a tramp, it might have just been an FC fan? :bandit:

    To be fair, you'd need to take a long hard look at yourself if you were to just walk past an old lady in serious discomfort.

    Well done to the lads who didn't.

    Have had an eventful evening...coming out the football and walking along and this elderly lady in front tripped and fell and was laid out on the pavement.Went to help.Turned out she was 90,and with her son,who must've been 60 odd.She was a Watford fan and hadn't missed a home game in 60 years or so.Her son had taken her to the away game for a treat.Stayed around until paramedics and ambulance arrived etc,but it took half an hour or so_Only just got in!!!I think she might have fractured her shoulder poor lady.Dangerous thing this football supporting lark!!

    ==================================================

    My friend who is a nurse on ward 33 at castle hill posted that on my facebook page after the Watford game....

    i shall let her know that Mum is ok as she was wondering ...

    { she supports Nottingham Forest but takes her son who is a HULL CITY Fanatic to the KC every home game }

    Hi,

    I'm a reporter for the Hull Daily Mail newspaper and very keen to run an article on this. Firstly I'm pleased to hear the lady is on the mend.
    If anyone could get in touch with me with a few more details that would be much appreciated.
    Would like to speak to scarborough tiger and her nurse friend. Also originallambrettaman do you have a link to where the original note was posted? (I've called Watford and they are looking into it as well.
    Anyone with information can either email me at [email protected] or call 01482 398110.

    Thanks.

    Glad to hear she's ok and credit to the City fans who helped out. The other impressive parts for me:

    1) 90 years old
    2) Female
    3) Long trip away game on a Tuesday night

    I could only wish for half that stamina if I reach that age.
