I got this by email today, and since not everyone has seen it, here it is, for you reading pleasure Hello Everyone, I just wanted to say welcome to the new season. Part of that welcome will come in a couple of weeks at the clubâs annual Open Day. Iâm looking forward to meeting a good number of you there, and I have impressed on the lads how important it is that they continue their role as ambassadors for Watford FC at this event. Those of you who might have seen some of our players present at various community functions last season will know how important we see this part of their role. I appreciate the feeling the local community has for its football club, and Iâm very keen the players acknowledge that it is a genuine warmth with which theyâll be greeted. As far as our preparations are concerned, I trust you will have read news of our latest two signings Mark Yeates and Prince Buaben. These lads join Craig Forsyth and David Mirfin as newcomers to our squad, but I expect them to slot in quickly as we have an excellent group of players here. Iâm writing this from France, where weâre in the middle of a really vital weekâs pre-season training at our base in Biarritz. The weather has been mixed but one thing that has been consistent is the work-rate. The lads have been nothing short of fantastic. Theyâve worked very hard, with the emphasis very much on creating a team mentality. Weâve had a little down-time too, and used some of the time away from the training pitches to talk about setting our values for the season ahead. I appreciate that many of you will have felt a degree of uncertainty with all the change that Watford has gone through this summer. However I hope you might well be feeling things are starting to take shape now. Thereâs certainly a real air of positivity and energy among the players and staff. Iâm sensing that if we can get that feeling running through the stands come August, then weâll be starting off on a great footing. All the best, Sean
Seans the man !!! the fact he is sending emails to the fans tells me we have the right man! Thanks lots for that H
Thanks for that H, its a great read. I will have to try and get along to the open day. I have never been before and would love to see the guys. Dyche is amazing in my eyes, he has been open about everything he has done and i really hope he does amazing things at this club!!
i thought it was fab too . Yep BHD, i know lots of people who have gone and had a great time. Sadly it's a sunday and i'm usually working, but as work is slow at the mo, i might just make it this season
Damn, i cant!!! i am at Alton Towers that weekend and wont be back in time! Oh well, there is always next year
i would have to leave about 10ish on the sunday to get to Peterborough to drop of a friend and then down. Its not worth it, if it was a match i would with out hesitation!!
i don't see why not...it's not a private email between me and our Seany lol...more's the pity ...i wouldn't go changing punctuation and grammar though lol
Thanks for that I must admit that I am feeling a lot more positive now we have madea few quality signings. There is also good news with the ground and the Hornets seem to be on the up after the last few years.
