1. Best-case scenario United beat Chelsea today. Then Chelsea and Tottenham draw on Wednesday. Then Villa beat Chelsea on Saturday. Then Stoke beat Tottenham on Sunday. This would mean a home win against Wigan would see us finish third with a game to spare. Would be fantastic but very unlikely. 2. Next best thing. United beat Chelsea today. Then Chelsea and Tottenham draw, leaving both teams on 66, one point behind us with neither team having a game in hand. In this scenario if we win our remaining two games we finish third no matter what Chelsea and Tottenham do. 3. Still good. United beat Chelsea today. Then Chelsea beat Tottenham. Chelsea would go above us with 68 points and Tottenham would remain two points behind us with 65 having played the same number of games. In this scenario a win against Wigan would mean that a draw would be acceptable at Newcastle due to our superior goal difference. We get 4th place and have to play a qualifier. 4. Not too bad. United beat Chelsea today. Then Tottenham also beat Chelsea. This would see Tottenham go above us with 68 points and Chelsea remain 2 points behind us. All teams on equal number of games played. If we win both of our remaining games and both Chelsea and Tottenham do as well, we get 4th. 5. Worst case scenario. If Chelsea win today and Tottenham win on Wednesday and both teams win their remaining games, we're ****ed. There are several alternative scenarios but I think this illustrates that the vital game is in fact today and not Wednesday. If United win then whatever happens on Wednesday is good for us. Also, if Chelsea lose both games, Chelsea's goal difference being inferior to ours on the last day of the season would mean we could get 4th with a win against Wigan and a draw against Newcastle. It currently stands at us on 31 and Chelsea on 33. If it's the same goal difference then it is determined by goals scored: Chelsea have so far scored 68 and us 67! If goals scored is also equal then we have a play off for the first time in Premiership history!!! Food for thought...
5 is the only one that can still happen. Im going to throw another on in at 4 1/2 - Chelsea win today and Wednesday to pretty much guarantee 3rd. We still have to win one and draw one to get 4th.
Have a feeling the Chavs will beat Spurs and Villa but draw against Everton Spurs will win 2 out of 3 Means a draw + win is good enough It'll be cleare come Wednesday
We should've won the Everton and United home games, 2 very winnable games for us. The Everton game was a game in which we clearly lacked that world class finisher to give us the all important 1-0 as RVP did last season with one of the goals of the season. The United game was all in our hands until Sagna had to go into ****** mode which has become very typical from Arsenal over the years.

I thought the Everton result was about right, but we should have beaten Utd. We had a golden chance to go 2-0 up in the first half and fluffed it. Then's Sagna's moment of madness ended up costing us 2 points.
Same here. Chelsea might not have the long term stability to really do well for a whole season, by that I mean winning the PL, but in a one off game, they are quality. Hazard,Mata and Oscar are as good as it gets, when you are talking about attacking midfielders.
