Nineteen years ago today. THAT game, and THAT goal by Rodney McAree that pretty much guaranteed the Whites promotion to Division Two (now League 1) in the 96/97 season. Carlisle 1 Fulham 2.
Had just turned 17 that promotion season and was the first year me and my mate started to go to games alone, he had just passed his driving test and having only mainly done home games and a few local away games that season we went to nearly every game home and away! Carlisle was amazing ( we didn't drive lol)! That year was pretty much the perfect time for me and when I look back at it, it makes me think that you never know when the bad run will end and the next good run will start, it could be next season you never know! Drives the wife crazy that during the winter I sleep in a t-shirt with McArees face on it lol
