Dan Burnâs performances for Yeovil Town have caught the eye of an unknown Championship club. The centre-half has been ever-present in Yeovil's climb to the League One play-off zone since arriving from Craven Cottage back in September. Burn has scored twice in 30 appearances. please log in to view this image However, it is believed that clubs from the second tier of English football are tracking the progress of the giant left-footer, known as âBaby Brede Hangelandâ at the Fulham. Scouts from a Championship club were at Huish Park last Saturday watching Burn contribute to the 12th Yeovil clean-sheet he has played in since joining.
Makes me wonder if he will be on loan at a Championship club next season before making the step to the first team in 2014 (when he will be 22). Whilst it is certainly good he is playing well and drawing attention, we have to be a little careful not to alienate our youngsters by farming them out too much.
I wouldn't be opposed to this. Perhaps 6 months in the Championship as an acid test then see whether he can make the step up? He does seem like an exciting talent.
Who knows where Dan may be going but rumor is down at MP,it could be Hull, who are leaking goals,or Middlesborough I know he needs more time to learn his craft, but has to be better than Senderos.
