....for all to see. Not sure why there is this doom and gloom about the place. The improvement has been happening since the seasons opener if you look closely at it.

We started off f***ing dog s**t poor, then we started playing absolutely f**king crap, then we got to just plain crap and now, by the managers own words we are in fact just abysmal.
On wards and upwards I say...at this rate we will soon be very poor and then on to the dizzy heights of a laughing stock!

I used to dream about scaling the heights to achieve being 'very poor' but now that reality has kicked in I'm euphoric about being abysmal.

With a bit more commitment and practice we could become totally useless, but we can always dream I suppose.

Things have got better under Cotterill than they were under SoD.
The club was ill and the medicine to fix it has tasted very unpleasant - perhaps they went too far with the 5 pillars, but I honestly believe that something had to happen (losing £14m per year cannot carry on).
I remember SoD saying that the objective this year was to stay up - with players on big contracts going next summer (I assume he meant Kilkenny, Pearson, Elliott, Taylor, Fontaine) the club could get good League 1 players in for less money

Despite the ill concieved austerity measures, the the squad of players we have now, even given we've lost the stars in Heaton, Albert, Davies and co and have shipped out Kilkenny, we should have more than enough to survive comfortably at this level while adjustments are made.

Its a viscious circle. A team in decline gets less spectators, less revenue and so on and so forth. The amount of annual debt is unsustainable, but going from feast to famine wasn't the right way to go about things.
