Disappointed, embarrassed, frustrated, angry, despairing..... And that's just with some of the stuff I have seen posted on here! I thought once the season started Not606 would get back to being the excellent forum it used to be but alas it seems these says are gone for good. With basically a new team who have never played a competitive game together, some of you seem to think its appropriate to deliver criticism and direct your venom at the team and each other after ONE ****ing game! There is a popular betting system for football, rule 1 of this system is never bet on results during the first or last few weeks of the season as history as shown these periods are littered with strange results that do not reflect the norm. Last year our first game we list 0-4 to Bolton, we stayed up they went down. The season before first game Wigan lost 0-4 to blackpool, Wigan stayed up blackpool went down There were four 6-0 games during the first 8 days and not a single one for the rest of the season. The season before Everton lost 1-6 in their first game to arsenal and went onto finish 8th. I could go on and on but can't be arsed. One game, one bad result. FFS get a grip. Rob green is not ****, Fabio is not ****, diakite is not ****, mark Hughes is not ****, Some of the comments on here are however very ****
Good post. We have a Swan's fan on the board who's predicting relegation for QPR and Norwich based on one result. It's childlike.
Good post Cannock; glad to see there's still some level headed posters on this board. I really worry about our fan base at times.
Totally agree, but we must get behind Rob Green although I wanted Craig Gordon, I think he is the better keeper and would have come for less per week.
Sorry, to disagree, but having been at the game yesterday Rob Green was at fault for the first goal at least. This however does not make him ****. He has still got the rest of the season to prove that to everybody, and believe me he will. Hughes, on the other hand put out the wrong side, with the wrong formation. That WAS a **** decision. When this failed, he made the wrong decision to take off our best player and replace him with SWP who has a goalscoring average of zero. That WAS a **** decision. Fabio has the first touch of a rutting rhino and gave the ball away for their second goal, that was **** as well, I could go on, but there are not enough hours in the day to tell you why we were **** yesterday. A **** start to the season with Norwich, Man Citeh, Chelshit and the Spuds to come. Personally, I am ****ting myself.
"We have a Swan's fan on the board who's predicting relegation for QPR and Norwich based on one result" Don't see that. I said before a ball was kicked that the Canaries might struggle but I think Hughes will get it right with QPR. Yesterday was a strange game. Our new players clicked, yours didnt. Never seen a Swans team attack like that before. That result, and Liverpool's just shows how the media were wrong when they said he built us. He didn't - he tweaked what Martinez and Sousa left behind, and now Laudrup has added an attacking dimension. We are progressing and Rodgers is well out of his depth - just as the fans said. Good luck for the rest of the season. Don't think you'll need it.
errrr hellooooooooo you had 4 new players we had 3 new players and a new manager, yet you still had a thrashing. No excuse for you lot!
Calm down JA. I know some Rangers fans have been tools but there are decent ones too and gloating is an ugly trait.
I remember a Bolton fan came on our board and gave it to us big time late last season. Football evens itself out in the end, if you're old enough you'd know. Sometimes sooner than you think. Wasn't that long ago we humped you 4-0 and 3-0. Just remember to tell your mate JA to come back to our board when the tables are turned.
Good point Cannock, I know it is not the Premiership but a couple of seasons ago Norwich were beaten 7-1 on the first day of the season and went on to win league convincingly, although I don't expect us to win the league it only goes to show there are always wierd results in the biginning of a season.
Good post. I've been saying all of this since 16:45 yesterday. Every season throws up strange unfathomable results on the first day, no need to panic whatsoever. I am however getting a shade pissed off that Rob Green has been singled out for so much abuse. Was he the only player on the pitch yesterday?
