No apologies for the 1000th Bullard thread because this time itâs a celebration! At last weâve seen the back of the greedy drunken cockney reject. He didnât get compensation, we got the last laugh and now heâs officially someone elseâs problem. So Bye Bye Jimmy and good riddance! Very good OLM I did not think you had it in you. On a seperate tak i wonder if the rumour of Papa Allam holding back money in case the Bullard case was lost will not allow NB to have a little dabble somewhere in the loan window ? just saying like - curious to find out ? Lets have a COOL AND THE GANG EH ? CELEBRATION NOW COME ON.......Theres a party going on round here Lets Celebrate
As far as I'm aware, the Bullard case wasn't affecting our incomings, but the longer we go on falling just short, the more likely it is that Assem will fancy sticking his hand in his pocket to improve the situation. There's only ten days of the window remaining, so he hasn't got long to make that call.
I'd go along with that. We were told previously that Pearson had been given the budget he would be given regardless, and that Bullard, Kilbane, Ghilas, Olofinjana and McShane's wages were being funded outside of the budget by the Allams. The money set aside for the potential settlement was just the portion of wages Bullard wouldn't be collecting anymore and that Ipswich hadn't agreed to take over the liability of. Obviously it means the Allams have had some money theoretically returned to them, but whether that affects their view of whether to invest it or not will depend on how confident they were that Bullard was going to get nothing. If I've set aside £500 for my season ticket and it turns out to be £300 then obviously I've got £200 back so I might dedcide to do a couple of away games. But if I'd expected it to be £300 and had set aside £500 just in case I was wrong and they increased the price I'm less likely to use the saving for away games.
