After yesterday's shambles of a performance, any little support I had for Peter Taylor has gone, he cannot be in charge next season, not after that! His baffling decision to drop Steven Gregory to the bench as well as leaving Bradley Dack out altogether proved costly to say the least, it was like knife through butter first half, I've not been to many away games in my life, not my fault as I'm only 16 but this was quickly turned into the worst away game I'd ever been to. Chants of "This is embarrassing" and "We want Taylor out" echoed from a disgusted away end! The midfield trio of Hewitt, Linganzi and Hessenthaler just didn't work, Hewitt was absolute pony and his positional sense was schoolboy like. Linganzi and Hess I felt for, the only two outfield players who looked to get the ball down and play, the rest resorted to hoofing the ball aimlessly to Cody McDonald who was lazy in my opinion. He didn't give the impression that he was giving everything for the cause, mind you neither were a lot of them. ***an did alright in parts but his lack of pace didn't help Michael Harriman who was having a nightmare up against Dean Cox. What baffles me as the fact that someone like Peter Taylor got the England job once upon a time, he's tactically inept, his constant changing of the team does nobody any favours, it's as if he writes games off, "Ah well we won't get anything there" "Let's give everything we've got in a more important match", it's ridiculous! You go into every game aiming to win, his negativity angers me to the extreme, his pre and post match interviews are always talking about how good the opposition are, as if he's getting the excuses out already! I would like to think that we'd get enough points to stumble over the line but to be honest I don't know! This season has been mostly awful and I for one cannot wait for its climax. I was cautious that too many changes might affect the start of next season but no forget it, at least half of that squad do not deserve to stay beyond the end of this season and neither does Taylor, Scally go and get a young hungry enthusiastic manager to take this club forward because I am sure as hell Taylor won't. Chris Powell anyone?
