Hey guys Next fanzine issue out soon; so far this season we have raised £4,000+ for various worthy causes including Brendan's Kilimanjro charity, Morriston Hospitals Childrens' ward etc. Coming soon to a Premier League ground near you (not CCFC then)
Firstly, bloody well done on your fund-raising. I didn't know it was for charity and will definitely be buying one in future. (honestly, I would never just walk past a seller....*cough*...) Interestingly, I work on the Children's Ward in Morriston and have never heard about any donations. I would imagine this is not because it hasn't happened, but because the managers there just don't bother mentioning this sort of thing. I think you should mention it to our local comic (EP) next time you donate and we can all congratulate you properly. Again, bloody well done!
Cheers Shaper - have some cash to spend (should be around the £700 mark but it hasn't all come in yet) next week for the childrens ward - gonna visit Toys 'r' Us and see if they will throw in some 'extras' as well, so watch this space. Have also donated some personal dvd players and did offer a wide screen TV a couple of weeks ago but apparently there was nowhere to hang it - so that has gone to Ty Olwen. Should be visiting the ward in the next couple of weeks with some more goodies. So be assured that the pound you spend on the fanzine will be going to a good cause.
