Earth is billions of years old

It has endured many climate changes, ice ages, earthquakes, meteorites, volcanic eruptions etc etc

man has existed for at most a couple of 100 thousand years

    Industry about 200 years

    heavy industry around 100ish

    are we really to blame?

or is it just our self righteous, self importance that thinks we can damage the earth?

Global warming shouldn't be an issue, whether man has influenced it or not, the BIG issues should be pollution, destroying entire habitats like rainforests/rivers/lakes etc. and the most important issue there is, overpopulation.

the destruction of rainforests and destruction of habitats is nothing at all like the reason we are lead to believe IMO

Money is the reason for destruction of these. If you look at land mass per person there is plenty of room

This whole britain is an island and thee is no room is down to market forces and politics and not a lack of space

    succintly put <laugh>

the issue for me is would things be different if we didnt do what is being 'blamed'

would the animals/plants not be going extinct regardless?

something like 90% of the eaths animals/plants have died out. something like 25 a day die out and we get the blame

but did we do it, were some dying out anyway?

    or

its the absence of faith in a creator that has lead people to the ludicrous conclusion that their insignifacant asses can actually have as a big an impact as destroying the earth
