First off, potential has never won anything alone. I get that.

But consider this. Suarez only made the step from good to world class after moving to Liverpool at the age of 24. In his 2.5 seasons with LFC he matured into arguably one of the top 3 players in the world. This down to his natural talent, yes....but guided by the coaching of Rogers. He had the talent before he came to us but wasn't thought of as one of the best in the world then. Messi and Ronaldo had more than made it at 24.

Now look at who we have in our team now:

    Sterling (19)
    Coutinho (22)
    Markovic (20)
    Can (20)
    Iliori (21)
    Ibe (18)
    Suso (20)
    Henderson (24)
    Sturridge (24)
    Sahko (24)
    Flanagan (21)
    Teixeira (21)
    Wisdom (21)
    Smith (20)
    Rossiter (16)
    Coates (23)
    Allen (24)
    Kelly (24)

    Who have I missed?

I truly believe that we have the potential makings of a fantastic young team when you look at that lot. Obviously, Rogers will have to work his magic but as long as they improve in the same manner as Suarez/Henderson/Sterling did last year, the future should be bright! <ok>

    Oops, missed Flanagan <doh>

Actually though that Sahko was 26 whic is why I left him out....Like Lallana. Is also why Migs doesn't make it. 24 and below is the benchmark for the list <ok>

Teixteria is a lot older than 18

I would add brad smith as Rodgers gave him a debut even though I don't rate him.... And I'd add rossiter at 17 that's about it

You wouldn't want them or you don't believe that we'll get them?

    Sorted <ok>

I wonder how many of the current under 21's will follow on Sterling's footsteps really. The final step up into the first team is always the one that sorts out the men from the boys.

I think Wisdom has the ability to top the lot of them - I think is a top player and will show it with WBA this season.

Added! The list goes on!! <ok>

Do feel like he might be moved this year though. Was disappointed that we didn't see more of him last year given our problems at FB. Perhaps his injury took much more of a toll on him than anticipated.
