As it srems no one wants to talk about the footy. Understandably. Sunday lunch or sunday dinner? Are you still a lover of this ancient tradition or are you more alternative? Im not a big fan of them. Way to big and heavy. But if i was to opt for the sunday mega meal. This is my choice. Lamb. 100% id opt for lamb. Roast tatties cooked in lard. Not ****ing cooking oil. Maybe also some mash. Plenty of butter. Yorkshire puds...lots please Roast Parsnips. Snap peas and carrots. Stuffing. I love stuffing. Even with lamb. Nice thick gravy. That would do me a treat. Nowt flash. As an alternative to the lamb. Id go for duck. Yours?
We'll soon be sitting down to roast leg of lamb, roast parsnips and potatoes, carrots, turnip (yes it's ****ing swede but I call it turnip!!!), broccoli and sweet potatoes washed down with a lovely Rioja! Oh and yorkie puds. Bloody weird that Comm, have I left the cam on?
****er. Although i dont eat them that often. That id reet up my street. Im inviting medell to sunday lunch at yours if i ever teturn. Lovely. Shr.s a keeper.
I took my missus to have a slow mooch around the Seaham boot sale early this afternoon (well its sunny, warm and on the coast - as I honestly could do with the exercise and fresh air ) so as one of my daughter's said they'd cook the dinner - I prepared everything food-wise for her before we left, her job was just to cook it - we come back to burnt beef over cooked veg and Yorkshire puds that could topple Goliath if thrown - so I've decided to have a liquid dinner instead got half a dozen bottles of Affligem ...and maybe a cheese pickle sandwich later
Good man Ive skipped it all today. To much last night waiting to watch another **** match. Should have gone to a gogo club and just got totally wasted instead.
We don't eat them that much, not through choice but it's a chew on making one with 2 year old twins that refuse to eat Veg. If we have one we tend to go to a pub for one, to save washing up etc. It goes down better with a nice draught pint aswell.
