We are approaching December,that leaves us 8 more games in the Premier and Championship to the years end.. I have been thinking of various idea's to freshen up our game and keep it enjoyable to the seasons end,Glengregory one of our Championship players has come up with what I think is a great idea and I would like to hear your reaction.. How about having 2 seasons in 1 season,the first one ending 31/12/12 and we announce the Prem Champion and have the bottom 4 relegated to the Championship and the top 4 promoted from the Championship,it would make for an exciting time in December as the battle for the first divisonal winners and losers takes place,the new season would start form the 1/1/13,the new leagues could then battle it out afresh untill the seasons end and we would get twice the fun and excitement. Personally I think it's a good idea and would make the competition more interesting and we all get two bites for good or bad in a single season and we could also invite new members to join in with us. good idea- but does it mean manxrobin is going to get relegated to League 1 - I'm totally crap at these guesses EDIT..................Manx,we are side by side in this league and can't drop any lower because lower doesn't exist.................

Oops dint read this thread first.............However.............. after 23 games would be a point that you could change things but there are a few pros and cons...but as it is it is what what was started and intended. some have joined later and I suppose you could average out their points averaging down after 23 games example from first 23 games ( forcasts from first game entered) forcasted 12 games ( first forcast was game 12) = 75 pts divide 75 by 12 = 6.25 ave down = 6. Multiply by 23 = 138 ave down (as points are 5) = 135points equivalent at 23 games instead of 75! if after you had made your first forcast ie game 12 you missed a week it would still be 12... as for 2 divisions I could go for that, but it only adds "additional" excitement for a couple of games and the end of 46 games has the same element anyway................... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx .............from game 24 you could go for a total goals pool like 65 goals scored top 10 closest without going over by 5 goals share the points viz. Easy to work out, goals scored 65 so max total is 70 if you go over no points guess 65 get 25 points guess 64 or 66 get 20 points (1 away) guess 63 or 67 get 18pt (2away etc ) guess 62 or 68 get 15 pt guess 61 or 69 get 12 pt guess 60 or 70 get 10 pt guess 59 get 9 guess 58 get 8 etc etc until 10 people have points SO GOALS SCORED 38 SO MAX IS 43 wiz says 36.............................gets 18 pts 2 away shiny 35.................................gets 15 pts jgf 40.................gets 18 pts 2 away group of 3 on 31 get........ 8pts or if more than 3 all get 8 points so could be more than 10 getting points group of 4 on 42 get 10 pts 5 away thats 10 people Variations you could double the away goals to get a better spread so as above 38 were scored but 13 were away goals so 38 plus 13 = 51 goals plus 5 = 56 is max last weeks fixtures were 33 goals 13 away so max would have been 51 all you do is add at the bottom of your forcast the total you want either the sum of your forcasts or a different figure. I will do a shadow for the next few fixtures
nope, sorry. Didnt get any of that JG2 I hope we dont have to get too complicated on this. If we start taking averages then people are able to miss a week without any repercussions. I am happy to have played less games and therefore i am bottom.
Yeah Wiz read through JGF statement and work out all the scores I bet JGF has a white coat and looks like Doc Brown of Back to the Future

If you had the ability to understand what you read it would be simples "there is no gain in missing a week" blimey wiz its not complicated just needs a peice of paper an extra cuppa and 2 chocolate digestives, go to bed at 2.15am instead of 2 am... Not for me thanks, I chose the Championship as it is where City are (for now al least...) and not bothered about guessing the scores of over paid tossers in the Prem
That's great,thankyou all for yours responses,I will make the new league in January,all of the promotions and relegations will be sorted and of course our champions proclaimed,I have also noted the people that wish to remain in their current leagues and that will happen..
