Forgive me if I'm mistaken but all you lot seem to think that you missed chance after chance after chance. Well from the game I watched, all you were doing was shooting from range, which does not count as a good chance. Can anyone tell me what chances you had from inside the 18 yard box? No, because what you need is someone who will create close range chances, another striker will just be another player to shoot from 25 yards every time he gets it.
Exactly. Another few days & they’ll hopefully piss off back home to their own board & get rid of all the cross posts cluttering up the board.
We do need another striker, but if one is not coming, i wouldn't mind seeing Ji or Wickham playing up there, along side Gyan. We need a l/w also, but again if one doesn't arrive and we play two forwards, we then have Sess to go and play there. (remember sess, the one player of ours who even the mags realise is a good player). Hopefully Gardner wil play now, a midfielder who got into double figures last season, so it proves he can score. Then there's Larsson (yes the lucky handball man) who should be on the R/W. That leaves one place in midfield, Catts (man off the moment to hate for you mags). Colback or Vaughan. Then that looks a bit more attacking to me, and i'm sure there's goals, and plenty of them in there.
The way I see it is we need a big man in next to Gyan. It's nee good lumping high balls into the box when your two CF's are 5' 8". ****ing unreal. Not sure if either Wickham or Ji are those players but time will tell I suppose. Something Bruce aint got that much of imo.
I remember gyan having a goalbound volley blocked from inside the box. We are desperate for another striker, in the first half we had two or three good low crosses across Newcastles 6 yard line but no one was there to tap it in, a predatory striker knows where he needs to be in the box (anyone see super kevs second goal on Saturday for blackpool? class is definitely permanent)
