Once upon a time, There was a near derelict vintage 1904 city car which was on the verge of complete disintegration. A well to do father and son team decided that they would like to buy the poor old thing and try to restore it to it's original condition. Much expense was lavished on the work, all the mechanicals where rebuilt with many hand made parts needed, the body was totally restored, an expensive paint job applied and the upholstery and carpets renewed. The condition of the finished article was much better than ever before. The car became relatively famous doing quite well in the upper echelons of competition in its class. Over time the vehicles’ condition began to deteriorate, the pair did not change it's oil nor maintain the paintwork, the engine started to knock, the upholstery to fray and become tattered and the chassis to rot. The deluded father and son decided to sell the car in order to re coupe their outlay, after initial interest the car would eventually not sell due to it's extremely neglected condition and high asking price. The only thing to do was to dump the poor old city car in a local park in the hope that the council or a scrap merchant might tow it away and the pair got nothing ...... only a fine. To be continued, maybe.
Except it would sell. People are falling over themselves to buy it for some reason. Problem is the lying bastards want to keep hold of it.
