    Very sad.
Didn't Football Focus run a piece on Borough Utd a while back ?
Can I ask what made you post this ? Is it a warning ?

The ground was owned by a Catholic boys private school and they fell out over the rent.

Looking at the Reasons to love AW thread started making me think about going to football with my father. It was after the Borough folded that he started to take me to watch the Arsenal

It'd be wrong to say it's a nice story but I do like these 'big things from small beginings' stories, just a shame it ended the way it did especially given your family ties with the club.

Most of my family were involved with the club.My dad was the trainer. He could cure broken legs with his magic sponge <laugh>His sisters helped out in the tea bar and his brother was also involved.

Treasure the history - very few people can say their family were instrumental with a football club that won European games....

The funny thing is the Borough played in Europe before the Arsenal ever did.

Nah, just the old glory hunting Jonah telling us how he can't stick to supporting one team and changes allegiances from time to time.

  15. '67 was a bad year in Bordeax too. By that I mean the wine, not the town or footie team .

    Very bad ;)
