Here's this Stoke fan's view on the game and our situation, certainly an interesting read:

OK here are the comments from most of our lot today

Pre match - the groans re the team were very loud and our fears seem to hve been comfirmed

They were despite a bright opening - two dreadful defensive mistakes and Pugh being skinned time after time highlighted our once solid as a rock defense has gone

But even worse - they played 4 3 3 and we played 4 5 1 and they bossed the midfield

Delap on the left - not his fault but the managers.

Second half - Pennant off, Matty on gave rise to the loudest boos I have heard since in the Prem with a lot and yes I do mean a lot of fans shouting Pulis out, you are a **** etc

Carew off gave rise to similar scenes - only curtailed by Fuller on

I reckon 20% left earlier and many a passionate fan was ejected as the red mist came down

At the end we got held back by the police so a lot of chats with fans occured. No one but no one disagreed with each other that the tactics were woeful today, and despite certain players being poor it was the manager to blame.

Many commented they were grateful for TP but all think he has lost the plot

The R word was bounded around everywhere

One guy in front was pretty upset 'I love Pulis but that was indefensible'

When one guy in the police cordon said we are the worst team in the Prem at the moment sadly we all agreed

I disagree with it but some at the end were sticking two fingers up to the players and obscene stuff shouted at Pulis (no way he could hear)

Pretty much we all walked away either angry or resigned to a truly awful run of away games and contemplating Championship football next year with Pulis still in charge as no one when calmed down believed Coates would get rid

    My views -

Wrong tactcis from the start and baffling changes - the players look devoid of confidence, carew looks pissed off as lone striker, our midfield was shown up as simply crap and our fullback experiment defies belief

WHU were not that good - we made them look very good

On the plus - Begovic MOM despite error again - he is off in the summer

    Shawcross had a shocker
    Fullbacks - nah
One man up again away from home - give me strength
Jones, Fuller and Matty looked very good to me as did Pennant

The subs were like a big kid rubbing your face in the dirty after giving you a good hiding

Pulis was out of order today Our away crowds will get less and less and less and that is down to one man

A very depressing day out - 6 away game and 0 points - can anyone defend that record?

We are in the poo and right now I am struggling, like many today to see how we get out of it

And the North Circular was a bastard

I think that pretty much sums up the general feeling really well. I always feel really sorry for the away fans as it is a dear do travelling away to support your team. I said before this season that I would go more away games but has nothing changed I didn't bother. Pulis is shafting the Stoke faithful left, right and centre and judging by his comments I have just read in the Sentinel he knows this too!

    Morning Sarge,
I remember saying exactly the same after the Liverpool game !!
How can we keep going watch these performances away from home ?
Its dire to say the least ..
and all away trips will cost ya anything from £70 and upwards.
Its bad enough at home never mind away !
We got lucky at home to Sunderland as well ... take them points away and we are right in the middle of the Sh1t !
We are really poor at the mo ...

The MOST EXPENSIVE MONTH in the clubs history might well turn out to be the January Transfer window just gone !
and that sounds strange because we spent nothing !
but it is for that reason that it might just turn out to be the most expensive £50 mill pounds worth .....
We sold Tunny and brought no one in.
The squad was desperate for a couple of fresh faces ...
And its showing now just how desperate we were for them new faces ...
Cause right now we are as FLAT AS AN OATCAKE !!
    <yikes>
