Right here on not 606. Our own Charley Farley.... Didn't want his link to be lost into oblivion in the middle of a thread...... Have a listen lads (it's worth it). Let him know what you think. http://soundcloud.com/maddisongs Good one CF, and good luck.
Thanks for the comments lads. Can I suggest a couple of things; If you listen using headphones the songs sound so much better than on a laptop's little internal speakers. You can also download these songs and burn them onto a cd and it costs nothing. Also, you may want to hear more stuff I've done. I've about 100 tracks on 4 cd's. If you give me an address I'll send you some cd stuff. I don't want any money for them although if you feel like it you can donate something to the RSPCA or Nialls childrens ward. I'm just pleased that people like what I do. I appreciate that people don't want to give their addresses out on here so I suggest either sending your address on the 'Soundcloud' page (where the music is) and I reckon you can do this by sending a message. You need to be a 'follower' to do this but you can 'un-follow' me straight after. Another option may be if Syd or Commachio can pass on addresses. The third option is to contact me by email and send an address where I can send you the package. In the unlikely event that lots of people want cd's I may have to rethink this but I would expect a handful at most. Once again, thanks for the comments.
Some good stuff on there Charlie. Do you do any Clash? This is my favourite.
hi Charlie, great sounds man. Would you know Bill Elliott (ex owner of Sgt Peppers, WestOne currently Driftwood Bill or Driftwood *3)) or Pete Robson(did the guitar work on Olive's widely covered "Your Not Alone"). If you ever come to Sunderland and fancy doing a few acoustic songs to an appreciative audience I can recommend the Smugglers on a Weds(Bam) or Sunday night(Dave Ridley), you would go down well marra.
Billy. sorry I don't do any Clash stuff. Niall. no charge, just get an address to me and I'll send you the cd's.
Mackemman, when I played in the band The Enterprise we had a singer called Billy Elliott. If he's still about he must be well into his 60's by now. He used to live at the back of Mowbray park area (in the 60's) Is this the same person? I don't recall a Pete Robson. I expect to be coming back to live in Sunderland in a couple of years so maybe something may happen at those venues.
Bill Elliot marra, used to own a few clothes shops in Sunderland, moved away for a while and is now back in the area as an artist and musician. May not be to everyone's tastes but can play and sing a bit.
