as dennis oli scores his goal last night, hessy and trigger both look above my head and into the directors box... so i look expecting to see Mr Scally... but no......i see Mr David Gold. Some lads around where i sit seem to suggest that he may be helping us out financially? anyone have any ideas on why Mr Gold would be watching.
I am not sure but I think he is a close friend of Scally's, they were brought up in the east end so it kinda makes sense. I am not sure about the financially aid bit but I did her rumours about him and Sullivan thinking of putting money into the club whilst selling Birmingham, and prior to buying West Ham
I can't see a major reason for them wanting to invest unless Scally has decided to look for financial partners at home rather than abroad. I have to say though, I'm not all that sure I like that. I just find the Gold/Sullivan pair a tad dubious with all they did at Birmingham and West Ham, that said extra investment will always help the club move forward. As long as it isn't another loan from those guys from Watford again!
