Does anyone think Nathan Dyer should have his own song?

    1. He was the fans player of the year
    2. He played in every league game last season
    3. Always always gives 100%
    4. Makes some fantastic runs in both attack and defense

but dont think I have ever heard his name chanted

Oh no.... not this again. This started a rather lenghty debate on what constituted as racist on 606. It is a good call and much needed for our Nathan.

However I will put forward the best of the bunch from that time without the potential racist(or not) undercurrent

    He's a Jack Lionel Messi
    Jack Lionel Messi
Dyer's a Jack Lionel Messi..... and so on

to the tune of the Mexican classic 'Quanta Lamera'...... or if you dont know, the same tune that you sing......

"you should have come in a taxi
come in a taxi"....etc to a poor away support

Or to the tune of No Limits (2 unlimited) or the great Roger Freestone song....

    "Nathan
    Nathan, Nathan
    Nathan, Nathan
    Nathan, Nathan Dyer

Nathan Dyer, he flies down the sides
He runs f*!&%ng quick, but he can't jump too high
Nathan Dyer, he flies down the sides
He runs f*!&%ng quick, but he can't jump too high

repeat to chorus etc...and a true North bank classic revisited:grin:

I tried to build something around "He looks like Chris Rock! He´s quick off the block!" for a while but I´m lacking in the inspiration department!

Ahh! I started that good old debate on 606 that ended in a lot of people seeing it as "racist"... Which was kind of pathetic.

Anyway, my favourite from the old bunch was: "Messi! He's just a black Leo Messi..." or even the flip side: "Messi! He's just a white Nathan Dyer..."

I can say however that he doesn't like those chants relating him to Messi. FACT

Ah Mr Garnet.... we meet again :emoticon-0105-wink: Twas an interesting debate for sure, but I hope youre not implying that a different opinion to your own is pathetic. Otherwise, whats the points of these boards!

How do you know about the Messi thing..... does he consider himself more of a Ronaldo or Peter Crouch type player (possibly small man syndrome coming out me thinks)
