First of all happy new year to my fellow Gooners hope you had a good night last night. I was thinking about agents and the issues they cause with regard to players wanting to move clubs and the conflict of interests with them wanting to line their own pockets more than actually having the said players interests at heart. Is it possible for each countries PFA to have a select number of agents that are employed in house to represent any player from their respective country? This would cut out the ludicrous 'bung/deal sweetner' culture currently involved with most transfers at the moment. It would also mean that the clubs and players interests come first without the middle man bull**** that can completely mess up transfers for some teams. Not sure if I have explained this correctly but feel free to comment.
The real issue with agents is when they start running the show at certain clubs. Like what happened with Blackburn and possibly QPR. Then they start suggesting what players that club should get by taking advantage of **** owners and line their own pockets. That's really dangerous for any club. Players should be strong enough to not allow agents to dictate to them, but sadly their are too many thick footballers out there.
