Now I'm thinking outside the box here............. We know we need a big strong midfielder, someone who can put his foot in, and bully the opposition when needed, someone who has been there done it and got the tee shirt an experienced old pro, who maybe can't quite hack the premiership, but has bags of experience, and maybe could do a job in the championship....................someone on a pay as you play deal. Man City have released Patrick Viera...............just a thought
Would be nice but can we afford him? What the BBC said.. Does he still think he can play an important role at a top league side or is he willing to swallow his pride and drop down a division. Would a lower league side be able to support his wages? He has been linked with a move to Major League Soccer.
Last time our West Walian neighbours had their little flirtation with the top flight..........well the arch traitor turned the vetch into a last chance saloon for ex Liverpool veterans, can't knock it........it worked. I wonder if we could do the same with Man City....................Bellers, Viera and with Craig's mate Shay guaranteed a first team place when fit..............we could do worse
Everything his worth a look...but no, Viera would never ever consider the Championship. To be fair neither would i if i was him! There is not much he has not done in football. Take a nice MLS paycheck and then settle into retirement!
