I've been told there is some sort of ship/boat or ferry docked in Hull somewhere. I've also been told it's got a casino on it, I have a feeling it might be some sort of nightclub but have never heard of it. Anyone any ideas what it is I've been told?
There's nothing coming up on Marine Traffic http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-0.3/centery:53.7/zoom:10 If she is in the dock, she is not giving off a AIS signal. This might indicate she's laid up or in a dead state. There are presently approx 8 laid up ships in Albert & William Wright Docks which are not giving off AIS signals so they don't appear on Marine Traffic.
I do have a feeling that someone has got their wires crossed with Hull & the one in Newcastle, somewhere along the way!
The Tuxedo Royale was in Newcastle but she closed down approx 10 years ago. She was then moved to Middlesbrough were she has fallen into disrepair and will probably end up getting scrapped. The same fate as the Manxman that was in Hull.
Had some good night's on the Manxman. Can't remember if there was a casino on her thought I don't think there was.
The Tuxedo Royale is in a bit of a mess these days, berthed on the Tees near the Riverside Stadium. http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/tuxedo-royale-becomes-historic-ship-8891685
The Manxman has been broken up ... Sad really I think it was the residents that complained and stopped the late night opening if I remember. So the Manxman could only do pub hours. http://maritimematters.com/2010/08/tss-manxmans-final-hour/
Was the Manxman in the old dry dock*, and is it that dock that's the new amphitheatre? * Ruscador's. (From one 'Doctor' to another)..."You remember them, don't you?"
It went to Sunderland when it left us and by 2012 it looked like this... please log in to view this image
Pride of Hull Pride of Rotterdam Pride of York Pride of Bruges Two of the 4 are in Hull every day, all have a casino and two bar/discos.
Cheers, I was told its permanently docked in Hull, seems to be the Manxman, which is no longer there!
