Now then Lads.. Here is how it works without Ella (She's at grans Friday night till Saturday teatime).. I'm up at 7am as I am everyday, it's Saturday so it's catch up with things, get jobs done I cannot do why Ellas here like wash her bedding, DIY or whatever. Head into Acomb (a York suburb), get shopping etc, pass shops and take a reflection view to make sure I'm still as fickin handsome as I was and then head off home. Get Lollie up at 12pm (the one day she can have a lie in), now she should be hoisted out of bed but thinking that something that takes 10 mins can takes me 30 seconds succumbs me to lift her. For those that don't know what I'm talking about, my partner Lollie is critically disabled and Cerebral Palsic, her left leg is up and locked into her ribs after a left hip removal in 2010. So, after a clean up and shower, I usually sit her in her wheelchair for an hour or so while we have lunch, toilet her and then lay her on the sofa for the rest of the day and night. During the afternoon she has her meds, drinks etc to which I give her through a straw as she has zero use of her hands. My Lollie spends 90% of the 24 hour day horizontal, fed that way by spoon or whatever. She enlightens when I get hyped by our matchdays and has been known to yell out 'HaWaaay the Laaaads' on many of a occasion especially when I have some Bob Dylan (Sara, Like a Rolling Stone) playing in the background. All meals are cooked, washed up by me and for Lollie only the best will do. No crap food in our house, home made Yorkshire's, Roasts, Casseroles, Tikka's and stir fries float her boat. Evening times are chill outs together, footy talk about my Safc and talks about the future and Ella. 9pm she is off to bed, A life off the sofa, get her very heavily medicated for the night to get at least 8 hours sleep and then for me it's prep time for the next day. I do have ocassions where Lollie vomits during the night but they are down to twice a week now.. That's one day lads when Ella's not here so imagine it with a hyper 3 year old in there as well.. If you think you have it tough then swap places with me for a week? 24/7 I do this, 16 hours a day.. Anyway it's Joe's story, we are all Sunderland fans, it's matchday so............ Ha'Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay the Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaads.. Best Wishes to all.. Joe
Nobody said it'll be easy mate but, the benefits will be worth all the hard graft when your lass gets semi sorted at least. Keep your pecker hard and your powder dry Joe and think of the future.
They Have D but it's going to be a long haul.. Hope you are ok? and apologies for my flippant grumpiness, it takes over to much now but at heart I'm still the mad, crazy, loving tw*t I was before but a lot more grumpier than ever if that makes sense?
