Today is indeed a sad day for the real, longstanding fans of QPR. Over the last few years they have endured much pain and heartache. There has been much in the way of controversy in the boardroom - countless managers, countless faux pas, countless acts of stupidity. There has always been something big to moan about. When asked by someone "Which team do you support", they could reply "QPR", knowing that they would get an arm around the shoulder, a knowing "Sorry mate" and a free pint, and a "I've always had a soft spot for QPR, but what the hell is going on there?" it seems that those days are over. After years and years of turmoil we seem to have turned the corner. I can already hear the cries of "What are we going to moan about now?" wafting through the ether. Well, now we are relegated back to the ranks of the majority of fans who moan about their players, their manager, referees and Alex Ferguson. BUT, WE ARE QPR. I wonder what's going to happen next!
Eamon, we will moan. There will be a few more drubbings down the way sadly. It is, of course, a fantastic day for QPR. So impressed with Fernandes' attitude, sooooooooooo different that what we had from He Who Must Not Be Named (either of them!)
Interesting take Eamon, well put. As for moans and groans, hopefully no need where owners are concerned. Rather go down in the first instance with people who care about club and fans if it means financial stability and long term growth tbh. Ah! as you say, only manager, players and referees to moan about... situation normal, such luxury!
Ah, I miss the days when a group of nutcases stormed the boardroom with guns, holding the club hostage and making the incumbent chairman write a resignation letter....... Oh, hang on, wasn't that pretty much what Fernandes and Mittal did today (armed with wallets, of course)
Don't worry! Plenty to still moan about - let me start: State of the karzhis in Ellerslie Road! If they don't smell like someone's shat a mustard gas grenade then something is wrong with the world
As I hope everyone knows I never moan about anything and am always positive and upbeat but... those bogs in the Ellerslie need attending to pronto Tony.
totally agree with clon-hoop, I'm 6"5 and it's bloody agony! I look forward to a goal being scored so I can stand up!
Oh dear, you poor buggers all moaning. Well for the next seven days the weathers going to be fantastic here, between 20 and 24 C and sunshine every day, and to top it all I've got the week off! I just hope that at midnight tomorrow the boys pull off a win and it'll make my weekend complete! Just to rub it in.
