A message was posted today on the moderators' board of this forum community regarding the Southport murders.
Here is the gist of it;
Hi Everyone,
I'm aware of stuff circulating on Twitter today (17/11/24) about the Southport murders.
Just a reminder it has been made clear it is contempt of court to talk about this case. The trial is planned for January 2025, so people really don't have long to wait, unless the trial date is moved - please try and discourage direct reference to the incident(s) in the meantime.
This comes straight from the top.
I was included on a list of mods that this was specifically addressed to.
In recent months we have been doing well avoiding mention of controversial news subjects.
I don't know what has appeared on Twitter today. But please heed this message and don't refer to it.
At least one post has been deleted from another sub-forum.
Anything appearing here regarding it will be removed, if not by myself then by others.
