Rumours about clubs being interested in Lambert are rife at the moment ie Blacburn and Villa and you have to wonder whether Nicola and Nigel are thinking that Rickie is now at the tail end of is career and should we cash in on him while there is good money to be made? Could we live with out Rickie?
He's going nowhere. Also with that title you've pretty much guaranteed the derailment of this thread.
Let's face it this board is on its last legs anyway as far as most sane people are concerned and I can be as big a **** as the worst of the spoilers. As for the thread I would sell Rickie and cash in on him now.
Why? Goals = safety. And why would you sell him to a club who are going to be in and around us in the relegation dogfight?
Need to create a forum for those who are working/studying and everyone else. It's not easy to trawl through the rubbish on this website to find actual football/relevant talk.
For me, Rickie is more than just a player, he has become a symbol of better times. A player who not just posses the ability to win you games, but someone who can lift the whole team. A quiet scouse lad, but when he talks people listen. Theres something truly special about him. Selling him now would represent the first real mistake of NC's time here, & as we know, the Don don't make mistakes, so rest easy.
As a person who writes now and then this is the best I can remember it , is it because I am posting ? Yes yes yes of course it is !
This thread won't really help the situation will it?, it's basically a open challenge. Plus it's pretty sad and makes you out to be no more then a WUM. Anyways back to the question, I wouldn't sell Rickie for 4mil. How stupid would that be?, 4mil for a player that has prooved himself in all the leagues bar the Prem(yet). Yes he isn't getting any younger but then again none of us are, i'd rather keep him. Just imagine how much it would cost to replace him, a hell of alot more then 4mil.
He's in the prime of his life. You'd have t be a complete tool to consider selling him. We sold Kevin Phillips when he was supposedly past it, and he went on to play for bout 5-6 more years scoring goals at all levels.
There was uproar when Pardew was sacked, that didn't stop the Don. He does what he thinks is right. However, I do agree with you, I can't see us selling him as it would appear that we don't need the money to fund other transfers and none of our other strikers have scoring records as good as him (though that might change this season depending on how we play).
What a pathetic thread this is. Surely this will be punished in the same way any other thread title that was off-topic or goading others would be?
For someone who moans about "kids" and people on here being pathetic, this is a pathetic post of the highest order. Congratulations Godders, you've made yourself look A Grade. Well done.
