Why Craig Cathcart? Every time I've watched him he's been absolutely ****e.

A mate of mine is a Blackpool fan and he rates him. He'd probably be better cover than Perch..

Dos Santon is a decent shout actually, but Spurs would probably want a ridiculous amount for him like when they put Crouch and Kranjcar up for sale. Don't know if he'd want to come, either.

    Pieters, Ridgewell, and Giroud/Maiga.
    Another winger wouldn't hurt either.

Who here actually thinks we will sign more than 1 or 2 players in Jan? I'm not holding out for more as MA is a moth wallet.

  15. I believe that Jake Livermore has just signed a new deal with Spurs, so Harry obviously rates him very highly. Indeed, along with the likes of Walker, Rose, Caulker and Kane, he is one of our most promising youngsters. I can't see that we'd be looking to sell him.

However, Harry might be persuaded to put him out on loan, as his chances in the first XI are going to be extremely restricted.

He's a solid player, and would probably walk straight into your first XI, and do a very good job for you. I rate him very highly.

I'd actually be more surprised if we signed a player than if we didn't sign a player. I'm not expecting anything. We desperately need to buy but we did in the summer as well and we din't, same as last January. I expect Tiote to leave as ell, I really hope I'm wrong but Chelsea will offer over £20 million and Ashley will think of the massive profit he has made and he will sell him and just like the Carroll money it won't be spent on replacements or strengthening the squad. I really hope I'm wrong but I don't see how anybody could expect anything else with Ashley in charge. I know the Ashley fan club on here will give me some stick but after the past view transfer windows I think my expectations of Ashley are justified.

I totally agree. I too hope Tiote stays but Ashley has gained a reputation now and a leopard never changes it's spots. We'll be lucky for more than one transfer this Jan and I wouldn't be surprised one bit if any money gained from sales is not seen again.

Uhh no. He's a good player, but he would be backup to Tiote at the most.

I understand the thinly veiled dig that one of your youth fringe players could easily walk into our XI, but in reality livermore would get nowhere near our first choice cabaye and tiote centre midfield.

Dos Santos is too lightweight and Cathcart is ****e. I don't think we should sign Championship/league 1 players just because we lost to a team full of them.
