So Mr. Neil had the riot act read In the hope it would prosper our cause, Certainly what he said had to be said But some felt, left behind closed doors Maybe, but it was refreshing to see And brave, from one new in the seat, A reaction he wants, which will hopefully Help remove the chaff from the wheat And if the players´ egos aren´t too big To accept being put to the sword, Instead of scowls we may yet dance a jig If they take the criticism on board Perhaps it was natural after our PL lark For players and some fans alike, To think this year would be a walk in the park Instead of a tough mountain hike But finally someone has made it quite clear That past achievements count for nowt, And if we don´t, right now, start to appear More hungry, our promotion´s in doubt I applaud that tactic, which after all Was done with the best intentions in mind, To ruffle a few feathers of those who walk tall Can help, even if it´s unkind But a reaction of some sort there just has to be Starting this weekend against Brum, The gap to sixth mustn´t widen ominously Or we´ll soon only be left with crumbs. We can't afford them, but, we're bound to get them. I think we'll need a fair bit of help from other teams to make the play-offs now.
Bang on the money RBF!!!! They could have done well to watch the under 21s last night, how they hassled and harried Borussia Monchngladbach allied to some slick passing and running off the ball. I'd like to see McGrandles start on Sat if none of the other midfielders are fit enough to play!!!
Yes, I´d quite like to see what McGrandles can do too, JR, and I rather fancy Bassong will appear soon if the defence don´t start to buck up.
I think Bassong could well start. He passed his test last night and we do need a mobile left-sided CB. McGrandles could be another if Tettey's groin is still a problem, but Birmingham is a very important game now.
