http://tyneandwear.sky.com/sunderla...ss-di-canio-still-looking-to-strengthen-squad The size of Altidore! (Watch the Vid to get a idea of the size of him compared to Cabral and Johnson!) Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio admits he is still looking to add to his squad before the start of the new season. Di Canio has been one of the busiest managers in the Premier League this summer, bringing in nine new faces and he has no plans to stop yet. The Italian believes he needs to bring in a few more players if the side are to improve on last season's disappointing campaign. Asked if he planned to make any more forays in the transfer market, Di Canio told reporters in Hong Kong ahead of next week's Barclays Asia Trophy. "Of course," said Di Canio. "Obviously we know the board knows that we need something more. But I don't know if it's possible at the moment. "We have already made some good signings and the club has made some sacrifices in some ways, they have spent some money. "So I am happy, but obviously it would be better to bring in one or two other players, but we will see." http://tyneandwear.sky.com/sunderla...land-transfer-news-ndiaye-turkey-link-striker A round-up of the Sunderland transfer stories and rumours on Monday, July 22. Alfred N'Diaye was allowed to miss Sunderland's trip to Hong Kong after his partner gave birth, but the Shields Gazette says talks about a move back to Turkey for N'Diaye are ongoing. The vice president of Turkish side Eskisehirspor has confirmed his side's interest: "We have started negotiations with NâDiaye and currently, talks are progressing in a smooth way. We believe that this transfer will take place." The Northern Echo says Sunderland have made an offer for Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne, with the player's agent claiming a bid of £6m had been made. But Napoli do not need to sell, and the player is thought to be in manager Rafa Benitez's plans for the coming season. The Journal says Crystal Palace are interested in Sunderland midfielder David Vaughan. Various media outlets say Lazio are interested in signing Seb Larsson. Forzaitalianfootball.com says Sunderland and Aston Villa have joined West Ham in the race to sign 25-year-old Serbian midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic from Inter. Sky Tyne and Wear understands that Inter won't consider any bids for their players until the middle of August. Suggests any of the Inter Milan youth we were linked with will be a while away at least if they come off That Kuzmanovic wouldn't be a bad signing at all either If Vaughan and Seb Go so be it, think they are good squad players but nothing more Insigne would be a brilliant signing, but I think that depends on whether Napoli bring in Damiao and Higiuan (God knows the spelling of him) Dont want Alfie leaving, think he will be vital to us in a couple of years
