Guys, I've been a member of the Liverpool forum since the early days, but have always been lurking in the background. I'm sure I'm not the only one. One of the reasons for this is that I've been really busy over the past couple of years working on an app with my son that captures all the buzz around live experiences, starting in live music. We're now looking to move the product into live sport, starting with the footie. Following last Sunday's brilliant result, we have created a demo of the product to illustrate how it could work for football fans after each club match. So I checked with Biscan a couple of days ago to see if he thought it would be OK to put this in front of you as piece of informal research, to get some initial feedback. The app is called Amondo and a web-based demo can be found below: https://amo.im/liverpoolcity-180114 The idea of the product is to compile content from every relevant.social channel to capture the best content and chat around and after each game - which could eventually include scraping Not606 content (you'll actually see some dummy content within the demo.) The above is a web version of the product. (Note: All the content is clickable.) If you sign up to the app itself you can personalise the content and integrate your own (and your mates') camera roll content around the time of the match - and then keep this forever on a personal timeline within the app, alongside all your other memories from the gigs you've been to and your holiday albums etc. What do you think? If clubs started to provide this kind of capture of each game and you could start to add your own comments etc (it's called an Imprint BTW), do you think it could catch on? How could it be improved? What do you like/dislike about it? Really don't mind if it gets ripped to shreds (Biscan warned me that the chat will invariably go off-piste...), as we can always modify and improve it. Or scrap it...! Hope you can help us out - we're only a small fish in a ****ing huge ocean, but we would really benefit from your input. Many thanks. GKRK
Thanks, Saint. For all the social stuff, yep. It's scraped from Instagram, FB and Twitter, so it's all in the public domain. If stuff is scraped from YouTube (which we haven't got around to doing yet), then it probably gets a bit murkier, but the principle is the same. The main objective is to work with the clubs themselves (and the EPL) so that we can get them to re-purpose the content they already have rights for - and mix it up with the social channels to create a better all round experience
Just had a quick look and I must say it looks excellent and very well polished/presented. I'll have a proper look when I have the time and give some more concise feedback. It's definitely an app I'd use though. Good job sir.
Yup looks great No idea what the technical was about but could defo see people using this. Would you be able to roll it out to businesses? Or is it just down to events
Looks great. My first thought was what saint said - check out copyrights - but looks like you're doing that. Good luck with your venture.
I think the best part was @Zingy comment being captured Does look good though only had brief look. Might have a proper play in a bit and give some proper feedbaxk
Thanks, guys. Genuinely appreciated - and not just because of the positive responses. Keep them coming (+/-), as I need to provide feedback to the dev team and, eventually share it with prospects. The only downside at the moment is that the two clubs we have got lined up for meetings are Aston Villa (nothing against them personally) - and Chelski! . So I might need to tap up BobbyD at some point....
If you want to know what footie fans in general on here think, post it on the premier league board but beware - they will tell you what they really think If you haven't posted on that board before [a lot of people don't even know it's there] - https://www.not606.com/forums/the-premier-league.10/ - scroll down and look for 'post new thread' button. I'd head it up with a title to get people to look - don't use 'help please' - or similar - as those threads tend to get ignored.
Maybe, but we're minded to create a series of one-off Imprints relating to each Prem club to begin with. Suspect it will hard for most fans to separate their view of the product from their probable hatred of any featured club that's not their own! Someone offline also mentioned that there might need to be a Liverpool take on the game AND a Man City one. Sounds about right - imagine how you'd view the content if we'd lost etc...
I get that what you've put in the link is our view of the game and as an example it's great for us because of the outcome but presuming it takes off, would you also be putting content up from City's perspective of the same game? Pictures from City fans twitter etc? If you are approaching pl clubs have you thought of making the content as impartial as possible and doing a working example of a La Liga game for example?
Well this is just fantastic, I wish you both great success with this, I'll also have a gander at your link and sign up.
Looks good the only thing I wouldn't want is for it to be funded by ads popping up all over the place.
