Would you have him back

  1. No, Keep ashley and let him run the club his way

  2. Get back Freddy and and let him run us into debt but have a great squad

  3. get back freddy but he is more sensible and we build a good squad slowely

  4. get in a different owner with foriegn cash and lots of it but lose our identity as a team

    So here a hypothetical question for you, say Freddy comes back in to newcastle and buys the club back, he gives us the money we deserve but without throwing us back into debt and being a little bit more sencible.
    would you have him back, cos i know i would, i'd rather have a club with a bit of debt than an owner that cares only for his pocket and whats in it.

    What we need is to get rid of Llanbiarse and get in someone who can run the club without annoying players, fans and Ashley, and can make good, sensible transfers (using Carr's awesome scouting), to build a strong squad.

    Not really sure anyone would want that? Especially being Newcastle fans we know how he ran us into the ground financially the first time, to be honest there would be no way of knowing if he would end up doing it again. So overall I wouldn't want him back, being a club in turmoil is better than being a club in admin.

    But hypothetically obviously the third one <ok>

    Nah I went for the top one. 4 is a pipe dream and Shepherd given another chance would just finish the job of bankrupting us propertly. Option 3 is such an non-starter it is laughable.

    Honestly? I'd rather have Ashley. Shepherd would never spend sensibly and i'd rather a club with no debts but with a bit of a dull team than potentially no club...

    Couldn't have him back under any circumstances. So I couldn't pick one. Would like a new owner, but one who was:

    1. sensible and financially prudent
    2. understood the club and its core values, built on them
    3. had an open and honest dialogue with the fans even when the news is bad
    4. understood football and how to marry it properly with business
    5. had the means for the sporting side of the business to progress even if slow

    In the spirit of fairness you should really have a 'keep Mike Ashley but he plows £500m of his own money into the club' option.
