If every player had his attributes-

Louis Carey insists beating John Atyeo's all-time Bristol City appearance record will mean nothing if the club is relegated this season. Currently in his 18th year as a professional at Ashton Gate, Carey is just five games short of equalling Atyeo's remarkable tally of 645 appearances for the Robins

If we had a couple of players like those from our past we wouldn't have been in this mess now just think what Gow and Derrick would have made of our midfield or Atyeo and Williams of our attack or Collier, Hunter, Merrick etc would have made of our defending any two of those players and you would be looking at a very different City team and the way they played.

    Fantasy line up
    ...........................................Gibson.........................................
    Moloney............Collier..............................Hunter..........................Whitehead
    Adomah.............Gow..............................Tinnion...........................Derrick
    ....................Atyeo.............................Cole
subs Cashley, Skirton, Wedlock, Williams, Tainton, Carey, Bell add Ritchie, Cheesley, Connor, Cooper, Anderson and Baldock to make a squad of 24 all in their pomp

Manager Sean O'Driscoll think what he could achieve with a team like that.
Only Wedlock I never saw play for City but couldn't leave him out also prefer Baldock over some others because I think he might turn out to be special

Hawk - Good line up. I'd certainly have Geoff Merrick and Alan Walsh in there somewhere though, and Rob Newman

It's great to dream. One day it may come true for all City fans because we've waited longer than any other city or large town for it to happen.
I too have seen all except Wedlock and I bet you and I could pick three or four teams of City past and present that would make us all feel very good every time they played.

I went for Hunter in his pomp over Merrick and thought long and hard about Walsh but decided on balance Derrick was the better, more skillful player also had to leave out Scotty but again Skirton and Adomah(think he will get better and better) got my vote. Rob Newman was never able to make my mind up about him.
