If we had a couple of players like those from our past we wouldn't have been in this mess now just think what Gow and Derrick would have made of our midfield or Atyeo and Williams of our attack or Collier, Hunter, Merrick etc would have made of our defending any two of those players and you would be looking at a very different City team and the way they played. It's great to dream. One day it may come true for all City fans because we've waited longer than any other city or large town for it to happen. I too have seen all except Wedlock and I bet you and I could pick three or four teams of City past and present that would make us all feel very good every time they played.
I went for Hunter in his pomp over Merrick and thought long and hard about Walsh but decided on balance Derrick was the better, more skillful player also had to leave out Scotty but again Skirton and Adomah(think he will get better and better) got my vote. Rob Newman was never able to make my mind up about him.
