Says, that he will wait until January and then he will reassess his situation. I rate him highly and I think he has the talent to make it at Arsenal and become an important player in time. But, looks like he is not willing to wait that long and could move on. Arteta is so important for us and he does not rely on pace so I think he has plenty of years in him. Then you have Wilshere and Diaby, in the other CM positions. Both offer more going forward than Coquelin. I hope Wenger can sort it out and convince Coquelin that his time will come. Wenger could have signed another CM, but he refused to, probably because of Coquelin. Would be seriously annoying to lose a talent like this.

Must keep him and he deserves first team chances. I would play him ahead of Ramsey personally. If Cazorla is injured, move Arteta/Diaby/Wilshere up there and put Coquelin in.

At least he recognises Wenger is trusting him by not replacing Song.

In time, Coquelin will become one of the best players around. I hope we don't lose him.

Yes, he can become a top player with game time. I hope he stays patient and doesn't do a Lassana Diarra. Coquelin was about to go out on loan last January as well, only our injury crisis in the defence stopped him from leaving.

But it will difficult with the current form of our midfielders.

Send him on loan. Might toughen him up a bit, both mentally and physically. We don't need another whiney denilson-esque player.

I really don't see why he would want to leave, yes he's not getting game time at the moment but he's behind Diaby and Arteta, two historically injury prone players.
In all honesty, I think he's ahead of Ramsey for the deepest midfield slot, so if he's patient, I'm sure he'll get the chances he wants

Yeah i think if he stays he will get his chances. I expect to see him in the League Cup and FA Cup for a start and maybe go out on loan in January depending on how our midfield looks for injuries.

The fact is he is not as good as our current midfield 3 and can't expect to start infront of them - he needs to be patient.

Hes 21 M'vila is 22 and has so much experience than him. If he wants out tell him to do one.

One thing i hate is when players start moaning about not playing. We are 3 games into the season so shut the f up. Injuries happen and u will get ur chance.

    Flamini is overated also.

This is a guy who has only had one good Season in his whole career. He had one good Season at Arsenal (after 4 years on the bench) and has since spent the next three years back on the bench at Milan. MASSIVELY overated by Arsenal fans.

I think Coquelin is a good player dont get me wrong only like Denilson he's a defensive midfielder who cant really defend. He's better suited to a kind of playmaker or Box to Box role and lets be honest with Wilshere, Carzorla, Arteta, Diaby, Rosicky even Ramsey all ahead of him I cant see him really make that position his own.

I'm willing to make a bet with you Zlatan than Coquelin ends up back in the French League. (remember how highly you used to rate Bendtner? ..not exactly turned into the 'World Class' player you predicted.)

I will make that bet with you. He might not make it at Arsenal but I can definitely see him making it in one of the top leagues. Has the talent.

Coq need to get his head down and start working hard to push for a first XI place instead of pondering a move away.

He can play RB, DM or CM so he has some options. He's likey to get some games this season, especially in the FA cup and League Cup, so he will have a platform to build on.

I'm not saying he's not good enough for the Premierleague. Think he would do well at somewhere like Everton. I just dont see him being good enough to get past Wilshere, Diaby and Arteta at Arsenal.

    Coquelin is an in-between player.

He does not have the strength and agression game that wound let him be a beast defensive player and he does not have the flair, speed or ball skill to be a top creative player. He is a very good solid pro, but he is on the edge for Arsenal. He is a good back up, but quite frankly Arsenal probably expect any young player coming out of ther acadamy to be that standard.

If we can afford to let Song go then we can do the same with Coquelin. Just like Flamini, he is relatively easily replaced. If you think about who can play those 2 midfield places, we have Diaby, Arteta, Wilshere, Ox, so he is #5. We also have players like Rees, Henderson, Toral and Olsson who are pushing him from the reserves and U21 teams.

It's sad for the lad, but if he isn't happy with his role at the club, their are plenty of a similar standard that will be happy to take his place.

What? When did I ever say that Bendtner would turn into a world class player? I don't think I've ever discussed Bendtner here.
