Latest cab off the sprinting ranks out here is a 3 year old called Chautauqua. He's only won at G2 and 3, but is flying at the moment. He won the G2 Gilgai last Saturday. http://www.racingnetwork.com.au/FormandResults/RaceReplaySearch/tabid/108/Default.aspx#2014-10-04: Sorry guys, I cant get the replay. But link will let you check the replays for Flemington on the 4th. Race 5.
They are not really sure what to do with him Ron. Two starts back, he stopped the clock in 1:8:1 for the 1200m, then absolutely strolled away over the same trip last Saturday. When let loose he quickly spaced them. They are thinking of stepping him up to the mile for the G1 Emirates at the end of the upcoming carnival. Lankan Rupee might also go there, so that will be interesting. At the moment they are equal favourites. Some think Chautauqua should just be kept for sprinting. It's looking as though there isn't a horse in the land that can stay with him over the short trips at the moment.
