So for me the only positive from today is that before the fool proved he lacks the composure of a 14 year old playing in the school playground...we looked good, we got an early goal and we were playing Wolves out of the park. However, that obviously paled into insignificance given the result, which looked totally out of the question until Cisse did what he did...so my question is...what happens to him now? He's let his team down...he's let his new manager down and he's let his new clubs fans down. He will now have a three match ban I understand, but what else? During that time, will he also be paid? In my book if he can't play due to his own actions...surely he shouldn't be paid. A little point really, but for me it might drill home the point that what he did was bang out of order, stupid and detrimental to QPR.
Yes he's let us and the team down. But let's not crucify him, it was a bloody bad challenge. Should he have reacted? Of course not, but until a few seasons ago he might not even have been booked, let alone sent off. He looked very sharp again until the sending off, it's just now he'll be out for the next 3 matches. But when he returns we have to remember he can make a very big difference. As can the atmosphere and today it was fantastic. On another day we'd have spanked them, alas it wasn't to be. But the difference in the play was astounding, we looked incredible until then, Wolves didn't know how to deal with SWP and Adel running rings around them. And also it's clear the new blood not only has fitted in early, but they are bringing the best out of everyone else, especially Adel and Barton who were running things today. They had a 10 minute spell either side of half time, but apart from that we ran things even with 10 men. SO let's not get all silly about this game as most of the other results went for us so it's still honours even. Their plenty of positives to take from this match and I think if we continue to play with the style and determination we did today then we will comfortably stay up.
Agree there certainly were some positives. Just can't help feeling overwhelming disappointment and frustration. At least when he returns he'll be under no illusion as to what you can and can't get away with in the Premiership.
I like the 'honours even' reasoning TLR. Also, agree that here are lots of positives. A sea of calm in turbulent times TLR, a sea of calm! Good man!
