The problem is that we have to make up points and our chance comes when our rivals drop them. If we both drop them at the same time too then we get nowhere and just end up with less games to play.
Arsenal really did slip up today. However, it was fanciful for the Gooners to believe that they would keep on winning. It had to happen sooner rather than later, and it's happened round about the time I suspected it would. The Gooners traditionally begin to fall apart in the second half of the season. Provided that you don't concede too many more points, you should be able to keep them away from 4th. I don't think you have anything to fear from the Mickey Mousers.
Well we are aiming for 3rd thus automatic CL spot but I agree in that there is no immediate threat from the Mickey's
I take little comfort from that draw I still look upon it as 2 points dropped - we have to be more proactive in these games and less prolifigate in front of goal. We need to kill off the lesser opponents and cut out the soft goals we're conceding otherwise we're looking at a 3-way scramble for 4th place.
I think some our more successful managers have always said that we should only focus on our own results ,and ignore whats happening elsewhere! That is to say if we beat all thats in our path then we should take the title! That would have been right once, but our rivals , having opened a bigger gap than I would have liked now means we have to see them drop points in a big way now, if there is to be a glimmer of hope!
