I would have taken a point today before the away game at Boro and after hearing the commentary on Suffolk I think we were unlucky not to have taken all 3. A second consecutive clean sheet is the most pleasing thing. It demonstrates that we can now go to the tough places and get something. Slowly the ship is turning and credit to the players and PJ for putting in 2 decent performances this week. Another tough away game to follow at Wet Sham but I think we can go there and get a result. All in all a good week for Town and I am lot happier this week!
Happy with a point from Boro but feel we should have got a 3 pts . I,m now looking forward to the West Ham match .... What difference a few games make , nice to see the moaners have stopped moaning but i'm sure they'll find something to gripe about.... Follow the Town up or down..... C O Y Bs
itfcptc Sorry mate I forgot! I'm not allowed to congratulate my team when they are doing well! Just because I criticise them at times when the tactics and team selections have been quite obviously wrong. This week has been a very good week and there are signs of improvement but believe me mate after nearly 40 years of supporting Town I wont be getting carried away!
Well Dave is it my fault that you have led such a sheltered life! I'm sure it must be nice living in your sheltered housing but life must sure pass you by at times! If supporting Norwich and taking Viagra are all you have to look forward to in old age I suggest you call the nurse now!
would it be naive to say that we have turned a corner and that we are going to go from strength to strength? i actually think we have and it stands us in good stead to mount a play off challenge but knowing the championship as well as we all do (unfortunately), with its inconsitency, we could go and get battered 4-0 at upton park and then the moaners will be out in full. for me, we have turned this corner as we are playing nice football, creating great chances and looking solid at the back.... we just need chops up to to start banging them in and we could be seriously talking about a play off push!
It was a very good result but in all honesty it along with the Leeds match is arguably the only decent results we have had this season so I wont get overly excited yet. A few weeks back this result would have looked highly unlikely to fair play to everyone at the club for sorting things out so quickly. I think it will be a lot easier to see where we are as a club after WHU & B&HA matches but its good that things look a lot more positive currently. Hopefully we can keep this momentum going and if, after the next 2 games we are still unbeaten I will be a very happy bunny!
Nice to see the usual cheerful banter, and so glad to see us playing the ball on the park again. Time for me to pop down and place a tenner methinks. As a 60+ Town fan for over 50 years, and one who lives not far from Brighton ( and happily hetero!) I look forward to driving up to PR next Sat for a cracking game against the Seagulls. With this team now playing the way PJ wants, and much more solid back 4, I can see us steadily climbing and finishing 4th or 5th, but let's not get too carried away. A hard fought point at West Ham and all 3 against Brighton would be good results and the best week of footie for about 5 years, and the platform for a very enjoyable winter!
Nothing wrong with that at all JWM, you just seem a little inconsistent(to put it lightly) with your posting hence why I mentioned bi-polar. Were you not a couple of weeks ago saying sack PJ and this was the lowest point you can remember being a town fan?? Great result and great performance, this is a strange feeling for us town fans after experiencing 3 years of rubbish but I think we are finally moving in the right direction under PJ but at the same time there will be many many more times when I expect to hear calls for him to be sacked in the future. We have a very very long way to go but at last we have quality in the team and a manager who appears to know what he is doing.
I have never called for PJ to be sacked. As Town fans I think we were all pretty low after the Peterboro showing and even after Blackpool. At least we seem to be turning the corner at long last and I will reserve my judgement on PJ until Christmas!
